The Magic Of The Moonlight

A love poem
By
Jude  Kyrie

*Sometimes
when the moonlight
is in full bloom.
And blossoms send
their heady fragrance
into our bedroom window.
Filling the air with
whispered songs of hope.
I lie next to you
and the magic
of the moonlight
falls over me.
It changes the way I feel.
My voice is soft and loving
It does not sound like me.
It makes me say
dumb stupid things
that I would never say
in the light of day.
Like I love you
so much honey.
You are the most beautiful
thing I have in my life.
And the Gods
were smiling on me
the day you became mine.
It makes me soft and gentle
I want to caress your skin
like a down feather.
To drown in the
beautiful softness of you.
To hold onto you so tight
like we are on the edge
of a raging volcano.
And if we let go of each other
we will fall into its flames.
It stays like that
until  the last
shadows of moonlight
fade into the dawns light.
And the magic moonlight
flies away on gossemer wings
back to the
wise old lovers moon.
