The reaper is knocking at my door
I'll let him in so I know for sure
That's it's okay.
We could get to know one another
Better to be polite,
And accept my guest
For when the day comes
I won't be afraid
On the contrary, I'll embrace my death.
He's got a grin I've never seen before
I hesitate,
Should I open the door?
Fear starts to engulf me
I slam it back in his face
I won't let you take me on this date.
Although he didn't move
Rather just standing there with the syth in his hand.
Patiently waiting.
For that day.
Should I Let him in?
Should I keep him out?
Better to know your guest
But you never know when you'll be next.
Either way he doesn't care
He'll just stand there
giving me that death stare.
