Sometimes I wish that I could go back.
Back to when things were simple.
When your biggest problem was catching cooties,
And watching all the Disney Channel movies.
When school meant coloring and recess.
And growing up meant getting your big kid teeth in.
And the only responsibilities you had,
Were not talking to strangers,
And remembering to feed your cat

I would do anything to start over again;
To get a second chance at everything.
I only have 1 year left of being a kid.
And that’s just not enough. I’m not ready yet.
Not ready to be thrown to the wolves,
Of this terrifying new world called
Adulthood.
A little time is all I want. That’s all I need.
That’s Everything.
