I watch you down another drink
so much alcohol
I'm so scared of it,
but yet,
I'm watching you drink like it's nothing
and cry on my shoulder,
and I'm not going to regret it.

I'm scared of you hurting yourself.
I want you to be happy,
and okay,
you're only 17,
please don't give the rest of your life away.

You're my best friend,
and I'm sad to say
5 months and you graduate,
and I won't see you every day.

I'm glad you trust me,
even to this day
with your secrets and darkest ways
I'm glad you're comfortable with me,
I just want you to be okay
