Once I dreamt in black and white
no subtle shades of gray

Then came the ebb and flow of things
& swept in the chaotic, turning tide
I watched-helplessly involved

My eyes collided in pools of dismal times
& beheld, as gravity changed
my subtle precepts rearranged

With strange significance, I watched
my passing world of dualisms die

& freedom realized in the gray smear of vision
black and white had never been
