Inviting open doors, escaping the freezing morning,
“Espresso please, oh… and one croissant,”
Hide in the early morning shadows,
Clouds are my cave, deep in the hollow.

Please understand, your are not the reason,
I leave you temporarily, so I can return,
Crumbled, I run away from myself,
You are not the reason I am confused and helpless.

“Here is your espresso and the croissant too.”
“Please type here to pay” I calculate the tip.
Anonymously, long dress she enters,
Cruising the store careless, pretends not know they noticed.

Bright morning washing empty streets,
Another tall latte ordered,
Radiohead still knocking my head,
I will return to you soon, awake and refreshed,

Please understand, you are not my reason,
You are why I will forever return.
