EVILS OF DARKNESS
Paula Ann Fields Jun 2011
See the stars so brightly they shine
my sinful life left behind
the trials of life so painful, yet bound
this ungodly earth, sinful and proud.

Beauty exists but sight unseen
Illusions at best, in between
Evils of darkness stirs in the night
causing disharmony, chaos and fright.

THE CIRCLE OF LIFE
Paula Ann Fields Jun 2011
Thank you for being there within my time and space
Being consistent with your love, even when face to face.
Giving me insight unto my pathway of fate
Bringing me lessons of courage – bathed in fashions of late.

You’ve provided me courage to step up and face the trials
and tribulations brought forth from this undying faith.
For being yourself with everything you do
For taking my hand and walking me through.

For loving me regardless of my past mistakes
And never loosing hope – my soul so lost of late
The lessons are over – my growth nearly complete
So now, I embrace the Circle of Life my friend.
Thank you for being there till the very end.

ANGEL OF MINE
Paula Ann Fields Jun 2011
My soul lies parched from the sun
My tears are carried by the rain
My angers enrages the rivers
Which flow to the oceans again.

The despair of life lies before me
And dances beyond my eyes.
“Is there no end to sorrow?”
As I cry out to my God.

The Almighty sends forth an Angel
To this unlikely place
He takes me from the ocean
And spares me from my fate.

The enemy fights long and hard
To defeat this Angel of mine
But through love, hope and grace
This war is won in time.

In the House of David,
The banquet table’s set
Waiting for the Bridegroom
To come and celebrate.

He’s perfect in all His Glory
And takes His rightful place
And grants peace and harmony
To all who bow in grace.

ILLUSIVE BUTTERFLY
Paula Ann Fields Jun 2011
Love is illusive like a butterfly,
Beautiful at birth but quick to die.
Lowly in nature but learns to fly,
Giving brilliance of color to the naked eye.

Through grace and beauty its’ life is lived,
Fluttering in the breeze for all to see,
How can a small miracle of birth begin?
They die only to be born again.

ANGEL WINGS
Paula Ann Fields Jun 2011
I felt a kiss or
Was it the touch of angel wings across my face?
This is my guardian sent from up above
to protect this innocent child from harm.
So young and helpless,
I rest each night in my Fathers’ arms.
But if I should fall before I wake,
my angels’ wings will catch me while I shake.
So soft and strong, I feel so safe
as I quietly look up and behold her face.

So loving and beautiful are her eyes,
Light shines forth from her radiant smile.
She smells like flowers and looks like the sun
Her voice sounds like a continuous song.
She cradles and rocks me back to sleep
while her angel wings softly touches my cheek.
