You're my sun
You're my rain
You're everything I need
You're my air
You're my pain
Without you I can't breath
Take a chance
Lay it down
Or you'll never ever know
What we have
It's profound
I can't bear to let you go

We dug deep, we pushed hard
Through the wind and the waves.
We battled our way up to that stage.
The hardware it seemed

Meant nothing at all,
When I looked in your eyes
and saw what I saw.

The smile that you gave me
The hug that came next
Made me forget the pain in my pecks.
A happy poem :) The last line should remove all seriousness of the poem itself :)

Moon lit shadows and navy blue skies
Sadly wave their goodbyes.
The lush green hills slowly wilt
As the sword is dropped with blood on the hilt.
The damage has been done
There's no simple answer.
The disease has been spread
To which there is no cure.
The only way to stand
Is by leaning on another
All from the damage
Caused by a father.

When will I learn,
Dreams don't come true.
Everything's foggy,
I haven't a clue.
Time has grown sluggish,
Days stand still.
The emptiness inside me,
Nothing can fill.
The moment has passed,
The window has closed.
I turned down the offer
Life once proposed.
My options are gone
My path is pin straight
I'm heading towards
An ominous fate.
All hope I once had
Is gone with the sun.
Mocking my failure-
The laughter's begun.
Hollow gasps and cries
Tear at my throat
Feeling constrained-
World- hear my shout.

The battlefield is wet with blood
Tear teem & boil in a deadly flood
Pressing forwards to overtake,
Duty honor and namesake.

Rash actions and anger accumulate
Building, changing, and of late-
Break the dams and charge the gates
Swords drawn and sharpened, defying fate.

Yet in the shadows sunshine lights
An unknown war- a silent fight
For mental collection and composition
To maintain control and position.

For emotions cause nothing but increased trouble
Gaping wounds and castle rubble.
Logic and reason clarify
***** all problems and simplify.

You asked for a poem,
I'll give you my heart
How to express?
Where to start?

A long time ago
We watched the sun set
And drank to the future
I'll never forget.

The world was at peace
Sitting there with you
In that moment of silence
I finally knew

Life carried on
No evident apparition
But the feelings I felt
More than imagination

Time passed as it does
We grew older and wiser
Secrets were shared
Drawing us closer

I wanted your touch
I needed your love
I prayed for compassion
To the stars above

I know you love me
In your very own way
But you asked for a poem
This is what I say

We're two pieces of a puzzle
Destined to be joined
Though perhaps not the fashion
I had in mind

Until the day comes
When you choose yes or no
And even past then
I love you so
