I lay on my bed drenched with tears,
I try to recall exactly what I fear.
Is it the overtaking of crime or the hearts that I cracked?
Is it the mistakes that I've made or the memories that faded to black?

Fear of their cries,
Fear of their lies,
Fear of my mother’s distressed eyes.

Life’s a nightmare,
Happiness will always be elsewhere.
You can't escape,
Your worst fears are always your own fate.

I carry a cross so close to my heart,
A place where our divine savior once died.
He died for our sins and all is forgiven,
That is why I am a follower of this beautiful religion.

Now we know our eternal life,
In Christ we will remain.
I can not wait till I arrive at the Heaven Gates,
To see my Father again.
