He sits far off...
I live just here...
We long for all time...

Classmates, childhood peers...
Bond established, behold, a friendship...

"Hold on, I will help"
"Nice of you bro"
"You never get tired of me?"
Same circle repeated in reciprocation.

Bond consumed by events...
Life visits the idea in marriage and work...
Duty distorts the union...
Distance sets in...

Clouds bathe the earth...
Nature feeds time in dry season and rainy season...
Spring, summer, fall and winter...
Harvest upon harvests...
The plants keep recircling...

Call far from made...
Communication disconnected...
Letter writing old-fashioned...
Mail far from thought...

Boom, nature connects...
Reunion for the first time...
Nothing changes except AGE.
The bond still same and fresh

No guilt!
No shame!
No blame!
Sane game!
Same bond.
The help continues...

The bond of friendship is indestructible...
This is for all my friends who still love and care in spite of the distance that keeps us far away from each other.

Bleeding...
We stepped
toward each
other's wounds
with gentle
feet and danced
outside; but
now the bleeding
has resumed
and the blood
is hard to hide.

He came seeking for power
In him was a victim, a bower
He demonstrated victimhood
Created aura of brotherhood
Yet the true tactic was to usurp
Religion observes...

Comrades turned sympathizers
They became empathizers
Putting their needs below his desires..
Unknown to them his inept bizares
Religion ensnares

Now enthroned...
Comrades became followers
Became tool for power blowers
The interest became a deceit
Only whistle blowers can decode
Religion reforms

The gullibles see hatred in criticism
The blackouts turn the fence in witism
Musing poets/academics speak in spiritism
Daring the gods of deceit in hypocriticism
Yet, religion thrives in falsehood sublimism

Pretend to know not what is known
Pretend to look the other way
Pretend the truth is lie unknown
Then you live in lie and deceit bay...
Religion mars or makes
But in you, it destroys...

RELIGION; the usual  FOOD FOR POWER...
The power play in Kaduna State College of Nursing and Midwifery, Kafanchan Campus.

He thinks
She acts
He sees
She blinds
He opens
She binds
He reasons
She clouds
He progresses
She retrogresses
The circle becomes vicious...
The journey turns delirious...
The mess in a relationship...
The end of a relationship...

Sound of a pen clattering
Admonishing beauty of arts rendering
Lines of rhyme rhyming
Mixed with rhythm rhythming
Like a poem life flowing
Like a drama life pushing
Like a prose life rushing
And then comes representing
Unrepentant life projectoring
The literati's lyrical lyricalling
Recalling the gods of writing
With written words calling
Calling calling calling coming
And hence societal ills hiding
Bad leaders, leadership running
Disillusioned souls troubling
Marginalised masses crying
And crime rate like jet flying
Bombs like pure water exploding
Politicians still stealing and looting yet fearing
Fear! phobia! fear embracing
Minimum wage hurting Governors like bee stinging
Unemployment destroying like earthquaking
Half baked graduate graduating
Our education unseriously provoking
Undefined boundaries exposing
Immigrants immigrating
Police, Soldiers, customs, Road safety, etc all corrupting like they feeding...
Inec election in chaos resulting
Nigeria a name of peoples's confusing
NEPA, WATER, ROAD, HOSPITAL unrealistic absurding...
Corruption! corrupting!! corruptioning!!! Are we starting or finishing? Building or destroying?
The lyric of the literati busy deconstructing...

AFRICA

The land of milk and honey
Greener pasture for Hungary cows
Hmm Plenty nourishment
Country of black development
Though unequal changes
Yet
Peace and unity prevail
Until the last days of White's intrusion

Black turned to white
White became dominant
Black became recessive
But why?

Black became second class
And they became first
But why?

The black however is complete
Be it assimilation, culture
Of course built out of dust

Then it was a happy world
Then it was a free life
Then it was serene unity
Despite Our "Barbaric Savaging"
So they said...

There was a hard-earned civilisation
There was a culture
There were languages in multiple
The religion was rich
Of course with sacrifices

But now, O My God!
It is a colossal of disappointment
A complete annihilation
By the blasphemous whites

The green turned to brown
The black changed to coloured
No identity!
No more happy home
Only a complete destitutions of your children

O am afraid of the great name
Called before with zealous mind
And praised beyond measure
Yet
The mountain shall bow
The forest shall disappear
The structures raised shall collapse
All ears shall tingle
Fore-fathers raised with avenging hearts;
For all their labours thrown to dogs

If the mighty name is called
Giant Elephants and lions,
Great mountains not even Everest shall disappear
Seas and Oceans shall empty
The guilty ones death, living and coming would seek sanctuary
Fearing the quake of the great name
And
Its coming wrath!

My innocent soul
My inexperienced self
My unworthy mind and mouth
Is bursting in pain
For conceiving the thoughts of this great and worthy name

Only the patriots
Only the sinless
Only the incorruptible ones
Only the saints
Only the non racist whites
Only the Great and Mighty God
Can
Lift my soul; my opened mouth and holding my left and right hands
Barjay helping in laying my **** on a solid Rock; sitting and ringing
The announcement bell
As a sigh and sign of approval;
To call the unbeatably indomitable
The gigantic and the enormous name
Of which,
Our great grand fathers and ancestors died building and shaping toward perfection
Only a small whisper
But
A giant name rushes out

A-F-R-I-C-A!!!

Quaking me to numb stillness
May you live long
To claim your past glories and bring back sanity
May you search right and destroy
The traitors, intruders and damage their wicked hearts beyond repair dead or alive

O Africa! Africa my Motherland!
Do not be vexed with our leadership's arrogance
Make them realise;
Realise the danger that lies ahead
The demons they are carving and building
Ruining not I alone
But WE and their hopeful generations to come!

For change to come we must all participate collectively

O My Africa!
Save us from destruction
And take us Home!
Home Again!

HYPOCHONDRIA

The feeling so real

So disconnecting:
the mind and body surreal

So encapsulating:
the connection of fear to the assumed infirmity

So enchanting:
The assuring gestures of certain saneness

"I'm ok. Its ok."
