Do not understand the flame,
We search for enemies to blame.
There’s nothing left to lose,
We already lit the fuse.
I know you cannot love me,
That’s who I wanted to be.
I hope she is happy now, with you.

I watched as they fell in love,
How ever so brave
I watched their world turn insane,
As they fell into a chasm of pain.

The poured their thoughts into me,
I wondered why fate won’t leave them be.
They fought on and on,
Until the war is won.

But when will it be?
Why can’t love and fate see?
I know life is blind and never fair,
And sanity is ever so rare.
The anger flared in their eyes,
Through pain and lies.
They told a story,
They won in glory.
But with a price,
Happiness was thrice.

I threw the book down in rage,
With all the sadness built at every page.
I cried for all their lost,
Their tears hardened to frost

The only beam of light,
In this war we were forced to fight.
I wanted this to bend,
I wanted these rules to end.
We’re so young,
But the battle cry had been sung,
I watched people **** and die,
But I could only sigh.
Who am I to judge?
The enemy wouldn’t budge.
The flames of pain.
The tears of rain.

You taught me to follow my fate,
You taught me to take the risk and the bait.
You taught me to be strong,
You taught me to never be wrong.
You taught me to feel love,
You taught me to fly free like a dove.
You taught me about truth,
You taught me that in life, there is no ruth.
You taught me to keep fighting for my belief,
You taught me to keep away from relief.
You taught me to fight,
And you taught me what is right.

You were right, this whole time,
You were right, life beats to its rhyme.
You were right, and they were wrong,
You were right, that I was strong.
You were right, that I was beautiful,
You were right, that my stubbornness was unmovable.
You were right, as I will always honor you,
You were right, I believe in you too.

You know how life’s said to be a game?
We search for riches and fame.
But what lies within, is it truly sin?
They can steal, and lie,
But one day they will die.
All of us have ambition,
Whether it’s selfish or maybe dedication.
But the truth is so wrong,
Because, if you try, you are strong.
A long time ago,
They taught me so.
Now I’ll teach you,
Oh, how less know, how few.
That the world isn’t black a white,
Even if that’s what you see in sight
Oh, no, stand up for what you think is right,
Be strong and put up a fight.
