 Aug 2012 Dream Weaver
Katy Sauer
I wish I could keep little bits of happiness
…scraps of my joy
Bring them out and look at them
… emotional photographs
But instead my sadness weighs
…density I can not see past
And I find it hard to remember
… when the world was more
...than dust and dark
Even the rain has slipped away.
it was one of my shirts
large, even on me,
but you loved it

the green matched your eyes
and it reminded you
of places
we would
one day visit

and each night
you’d strip off your day clothes
and pull that oversized shirt
over your beautiful *******
and lead me down
to the place
where
my best
and
worst
memories
were made
