Working in tunnels
And dealing in mud
He wears fur coats
But they’re full of drugs
While one eye is blue
The other is black
And while one eye loves you
The other turns its back

So we called him this
We called him the dog
He didn’t like that name
He thought it was wrong
So he drank in his room
Which was the front lawn
And he cursed at the night
But night wouldn’t hear

Cuz he prefers the tar
To the grass
When he’s on that black
He runs so fast
His arms are aching
it’s a lovely sin
But how those little pleasures
Are abound to win

So we called him this
We called him the dog
He didn’t like that name
He thought it was wrong
So he drank in his room
Which was the front lawn

With his feet in the alley
And his nose in the trash
He brings work home
But it’s covered in glass
He bites the hand
That feeds him still
You think you’ll bleed a lot
But you’ll only bleed a little

So we called him this
We called him the dog
He didn’t like that name
He thought it was wrong
So he drank in his room
Which was the front lawn
And he cursed at the night
But night wouldn’t hear

While one eye is blue
And the other is black
He’s got what I need
So I cant turn my back
And he knows he has me
By the ties we share
But if I cut the rope that holds us
There’ll be nobody there
Well I rolled into town
At 3 o'clock
On a wonder
It was ****** cold outside

Found an old souled girl
Just fiendin' to get sober
Or she'd die one time
In the ****** cold street

Said "I think we can find
Some of that out
On the street corner"
We got ******; cold outside

I'll give you what I got
But its not all that much
But at least,
Its the ****** cold truth

We can get ****** sober
We can believe
What we want to see
The truth
For what it is
Our ****** truth
Baby were ****** cold outside
