way too soon
Theresa Apr 2020
trees spread their wings welcoming and hugging an uncertain spring
Beautiful it comes to life, there is no need for anything
Ebb and flow stirred by the moon, seasons changing way too soon

heart
Theresa Apr 2020
There are many strings to my heart
Nudge them and pull them apart
Music will always hold them
And play its ancient harp

Within
Theresa Mar 2020
A fortress within, sacred to the home around
Shown to only few, if only others knew
It keeps me safe and sound

it's late
Theresa Mar 2020
Behind the wooden, rusty gate
Leaves swaying golden, it’s late
Time grows slower when I think of it
Heaven seemed close and bit by bit
Skin unfolds and joins in heat
Through my limbs I felt every beat
Heavy waves moving through
I’m sure somewhere it’s only you
When skin came together
time grew slower than ever
just a little scribble

small fingers
Theresa Apr 2020
Small fingers drawing in the sand
And warm skin under my hand
And time, time to take it in
Light glitters on the peaceful water
Air smells of salt and sleep
Time for this ocean, it’s deep
A body free, and love as far as I can see
I hope my fingers will draw in the sand
And, my soul makes it safely 'til the end

be there
Theresa Mar 2020
I can see, see what you go through
I wish I could be, be there and hold you

warm wind
Theresa Mar 2020
Warm wind is strong
When I close my eyes, it carries me along
Just like a song

blue light
Theresa Mar 2020
Give me your hand
For this won’t be the end
I always think of the evening sky
Blue light and a long, warm sigh
Lovely through my heart
My love for you is painted above
Most definitely my favorite art
Shadow and light meet only twice
It’s what takes my heart in two
Peaceful greetings for us, it’s true
I could never see this clearly
What it cost me nearly

more than one
Theresa Mar 2020
A crossroad, oh more than one
Come, come undone
Like the shore
the ruffles of the ocean scarcely touching
The thought that I am clutching
wet promise of lore
many have been here before

— The End —
