Subdivisions
Austin Mosher Apr 2013
Take me back to the start
When the world had a heart.
Let the subdivisions
Fall to oblivion
As kings wait patiently
For the public buses.
The dizzy drunkenness
Of the lioness cub
Shocks the perched bald eagle
As he swallows the world

Autumn Leaves
Austin Mosher Apr 2013
Autumn leaves profess their love
As they cascade to the ground

Redwood stands in silent attention
To feel your breeze caress it's bark

Midst of a Dream
Austin Mosher Apr 2013
Echoes of your voice
Like in the midst of a dream
Stirs without my choice
Crazy things mans never seen

A beauty so fine
Like in the midst of a dream
I wish you were mine
Can you even hear my screams?

In the midst of dreams
in a kingdom in the clouds
With you as my queen
Where there are no rules allowed

Like in the midst of a dream…

Forgot the Angels
Austin Mosher Apr 2013
The absinthe skies
Bleed emerald
And blue
Three angels cry
As the statues
Crumble
The stones mangled
Scattered about

Angels
Are forgotten

The Grey
Austin Mosher Apr 2013
Alone in a five walled room
Silence intruded
With violent caterwauling
Echoing throughout.
Ancient scribes capture surreal
Images spilling
From the grey depths of my mind:
Drift up the small stream
Guided by five flying fish
Fireflies dancing
To music with no tune,
Black panthers and mice
Swimming in the coral reefs
With the fish and birds
The landscapes ooze perfection.
Faceless gypsy queens
Appear in my mirror
Saying my time here is through.
………

………

………
The light burns brightly
Jolting me from my comforts

Bringing back the grey.

Chromatic Seed
Austin Mosher Apr 2013
The colorful spectrum of
Dandelions
Deliver an array of
White whispers
Blood red screams
Blue oceans
And wet dreams
To the mind’s epicenter

Repossesion
Austin Mosher Apr 2013
The irises of my eyes
Repossess the beauty
The world abandoned
And cling to
The fabrics
Of reminiscence

Sepia
Austin Mosher Apr 2013
Where now are our heroes?
Faded  pages in an
Encyclopedia
Dry
Cracked
And
Sepia
Stars and supernovas
Quarrel with displeased eyes
And sing songs to empty
Rooms
Halls
And
Theaters

Ease the Mind of the Pine
Austin Mosher Apr 2013
Hot springs in the heart of the mountain
Evidence of living stone
Comatose giant
With stalactite teeth
And Niagara tears.
Piggyback my way to the heavens
Oh, ancient deity
Connoisseur of peace
Connoisseur of love
Ease the mind
Of the pine…
Ease the mind
Of the pine.

Obsidian & Ivory
Austin Mosher Apr 2013
The rain like a cold, damp, blanket on my skin
Obsidian trees drink tears of the creature’s sin
Ivory trees lie barren
Housing a great red heron
The stars of the universe
Hidden in his burlap purse

Throw a Stone
Austin Mosher Apr 2013
In a glass house with whitewashed walls
Dare you throw a stone?
One by one all the lemmings fall
Battered, bruised, and thrown
In halls

Piece by piece the fortress shatters
And now the shadows rise
Taking away all that matters
Empty now are prized
Platters

Once again the fortress will rise
Years and years from now
Just wait until the whitewash dries
Hear, we won’t allow
Reprise

Vengeance of the Moon
Austin Mosher Apr 2013
The gold sarcophagi
Hide the wolves decaying
Prey.
Howling
..Howling
….Howling
……..Howling
Up at the blazing sky.
Their moves the night betray.
Moon
Seeking
..Seeking
….Seeking
……..Seeking
Vengeance over the sun.

The Ancient Walls

It turns out the

On ancient walls
Were written in

Red Masquerade
Austin Mosher Apr 2013
Gold euphoria is written on walls
of the tiger's cage.
Walls oozing the ink of the forgotten
Poets and scribes. Pens
strewn on the mausoleum's endless floor.
Words of men still scream
The blind injustice of the fleeting souls.
The indifference
Of the red masquerade will take us all,
Take us in the end.

Tar Drenched Sun
Austin Mosher Apr 2013
The
Harvest
Has begun
In the presence
Of the tar drenched sun.
As
The snakes
Prowl the streets;
Harvesting death,
Hatred and deceit
The
Righteous
That gather,
Cower in fear.
Which would you rather?

The
Rooster
Will bellow
If ever there’s dawn
Out in the meadow
Or
On top
High Canyon,
We WILL destroy
That old tar drenched sun.

Ethereal Trees

I’ll carve our song
In the bark of
Ethereal
Trees
For the world to
