Apollo Night May 2012
If fear is a shackle, let love be wings.
If freedom is a bird, how sweetly it sings.
If a man is just a man, there's no need to be god;
So embrace imperfection, dare to be wrong.
If society is righteous, then I pose a thought.
Is evil ingrained, or through others is taught?
Is peace attainable, or much like a thought
A man made creation never to be caught.

When I sleep, I dream of sleeping,
And I wish when I'm awake.
That maybe I am dreaming,
Because the pain's too much to take.
The moon light's become my sunshine,
The nights become my day.
That is the fate of any man,
Who's sold the world away.
And it seems I can't replace it,
And god's not willing to sell.
At one time my life was heaven,
Now it's turned to hell.
Regret I've payed many times over,
But my mind refuses to rest.
If only I put more time into living,
But now it's too late to invest.
So I sit here thinking slowly,
My body wasting away.
Dreaming of sleeping, and praying I'm dreaming,
As I crawl through the day.

If a bomb drops on a city and no one's alive to hear it, does it make a sound?

Today I felt like a lion,
So Strong it seemed unreal.
I roared and clawed the fear away,
For my pride it tried to steal.

For a day my mistakes were decisions,
And all my struggles were fuel
For the fire that seems to be tempering me
And wisening this stubborn fool.

Some day I hope to feast upon,
The beast I fought today.
But this beast is strong of heart and wit,
And refuses to go away.

It's true most days I feel like a lamb,
But I try to keep on trying.
If I fall, at least I know,
One day I spent as a lion.
