Freedom of Speech
               yet we do not Speak.
Freedom of Religion
               yet many will Hide.
Pursuit of Wealth
               not really Happiness.
Working to Death
                instead of Hardly Working.
Family Ties
                yet Domestic Abuse.
A land of Honey
                that has all been Used.
Tranquility and Peace
                yet Bombs and War.
The Heart of America;
                Gone Forever More.

Oh, how I wish
you could open your eyes
and just see
that it's really true,
you can't see me.
Oh, how I hate this power,
Invisibility

I’ve had heartache, or rather, I’ve had heart crumble fall to the ground get stomped and trampled on break. Trying to pick up those pieces you’re hands aren’t big enough to hold and when you spread your fingers to try and hold more…the pieces just fall through the holes. Yeah, I’ve had that too. That hurt in your chest saying goodbye wanting a final, “I love you,” with a gentle kiss. The moment he has walked away and you realize your heart is shattered on the ground no longer pumping blood but somehow you are still unthankfully alive. Yeah, I’ve had that too. The crying till you are completely falling among a broken world. Your tears not enough to wash it all away. Then suddenly someone comes along…the hero. Trying to push him away, but you are too weak, and honestly you know that an extra pair of hands would help. Yeah, I’ve been there as well. When he finally helps you get the pieces back together, but there is always one that is missing. He puts a new piece in your hand, but it is so strange and unfamiliar. You push, shove, yell for it to go away. Yeah, now I remember. How you shoved so hard he just went away, thinking you didn’t need him after all. You start to walk, but there is still that hole in your chest that hurts every time the wind blows. You feel alone and then you start to realize the hero…he was the one that really loved you. Yeah, I know how that goes. When you call and can’t find him, begging for that precious piece. You sit on the floor and cry and suddenly he is by your side to pull you up off the ground again. The heart beat between you, the piece fit perfectly. Finally blood through your veins, alive, and now, your hands aren’t big enough to capture all the love from him. Yeah…that’s what I missed. He moved on.

A wishing well!
What a wonderful thing,
any dream you can tell
hoping one day it will come true.

You tossed in that penny,
hoping your dream will come true
any.

But apparently, something they didn't tell
for how long it takes the penny
to reach the bottom of the well
we have already grown old
and forgotten.

That penny finally hits the water
but it doesn't matter;
we don't dream anymore.

So a wasted penny
actually has a wish of its own.
It wishes its life wasn't wasted
being tossed down a wishing well.

The first one walks through the door.
A child in rags
cold, hungry, and worn;
lost in a world too big on her own.
This place is warm;
the only door that's ever open.
Lighting a candle to read the Book,
reading the stories of something so wonderful,
learning the greatness of the Lord.

Another walks through the door
after loosing a loved one not long ago.
Drenched in melting snow
and shaking from sorrow and cold;
a life without him seems impossible.
Alone in this place
in this world forever.
Memories; a flood as they run down her cheek,
Asking the Lord why he had to leave.

The last walks through the door
drunk and stumbling,
his life the bottle.
Wanting to change
but lost on how,
sitting down with head bowed.
Been so long since this.

Three candles were lit that night
letting the Lord guide their lives.

Close by the door he paused to stand
As he took her class ring off of her hand,
And all who watched couldn't speak
As a single tear rolled down his cheek.
Memories of the moments they had
As they laughed and ran beneath the sun,
Remember how she was so free.
How she hurt him
She could not see.
Her ocean blue eyes had turned so cold.
He would no longer have her to hold.
He whispered, "I love you," as he bent near
But the words were so soft no one could hear.
He said, "Goodbye," as he gave her a kiss.
This special girl would be dearly missed.
The door closed and his head hung low,
As they carried her casket across the snow.

You can hear it in the ringing of bells
And the soundest of stories.
You can see it in the way the snow falls
And the way the world is full of light.
It is the magic all around us,
From the stories of brighter stars
And the idea that maybe
Reindeer can fly in December
And magic hats can bring cold men to life.

Right now
There are some wrapping gifts to give
And others are lighting candles,
All the while
The saints are outside singing
Of the Messiah,
Of God here with us,
Of wishing you a merry Christmas
And maybe we could join them.

But it’s a silent night
And baby
It’s cold outside
So stay a while,
Stay here in the warmth
Of vivid lights and winter memories.
And remember that the breath of heaven
Exists just beyond us,
Just beyond the firelight
Where the smoke billows out of chimneys
And where Nicholas watches and waits
For us to fall asleep
With dreams of sugarplums dancing.

And remember that faith
Is something that keeps us warm
And keeps our spirits merry.
So deck the halls
And let it snow,
Because I have heard
That there are saviors born
Under the bright stars in Bethlehem stables,
Meant to bring peace to all of us.

And right now
There are living nativities
And children rockin’ round evergreen trees,
All the while
There are angles in the sky singing
Gloria,
Of the Messiah.
Singing of joy
And maybe we should listen.

‘Cause it’s a holy night
So remember Jacob Marley,
And the little drummer boy.
And remember the truth of the Christmas story,
That it’s a wonderful life
And that if Charllie Brown’s Christmas tree
Taught us anything,
Is that a little love can make us grow.
So let it snow, let it snow,
Let it snow.
