EL Williams Dec 2019
She was the sun, I was the moon.
She lit up my entire world.
I was there in the darkest times.
Trying my hardest to support her.

Everyone else seemed like stars,
Waiting for her to explode.
But, alas, I wasn’t. She was my light.
She was the only reason I was seen.

Without her, I was useless.
Just a speck in the infinity.
The moon of an uninhabited planet.
I mean, do you care about Jupiter’s moons?
EL Williams Dec 2019
Have you ever looked at the sky,
Way late in the night,
And thought back on your life?

At first seeing nothing,
Until you start looking,
And then seeing everything.

Stars, planes, the moon.
Disappearing so soon.
Much different than at noon.

And thought,
How you feel caught,
And how you sought,

To be like a bird,
Able to get in a word,
Like the leader of a herd
