What is love?
A question that had loomed inside my head
Like a ghost in search of redemption.

Some say it is the care for another,
Without ends, just for being together.
Some say it is a feeling
Blind enough to fool your own being.
Some say it is a medicine
That can heal any wounds you have ever seen.

But some say it is a wound,
That will sting if not reciprocated,
For the rest of your life, without fail,
Sorry, you wont be able to bail.
I wonder if there is something like true Love,
That would last forever without shove.

For love is even seen fading with the test of time,
And at times, your love be rewarded with the pest of crime,
That pulls away and rip off your heart,
Tearing it into pieces apart,
And you would be lost,
In  the  moments worst.

Remember love can be a deadly weapon,
A slow poison, unseen obsession,
A shadow that haunts you,
A chain that binds you,
Beyond any label, a grey zone
Beyond my understanding, a black hole.

Hopelessness? Self pity ?
The endless prejudices of the society?
Which weighs the most upon his restless soul?
He doesn’t know.
Now that even his every footstep
Seems to weigh upon him
Dragging him into the blackhole of pain
Reminding him of his own years in vain
Engulfing every last ounce of vigour in him.

Unrequited dream? Lost love?
The serenity of the mind?
Which should be chased?
He doesn't know.
Now that he knows that he is lost
It seemed as if there was no turning back
Everything looked the same, dark and dull
His eyes silently searched around to no avail
For a bit of a green in midst of the dark.
