I saw the galaxy in your eyes
Millions and millions of stars
Aligned together in blissful harmony
Dazzling, thrilling, captivating

Every time I’d look in them
I would fall
Deeper and deeper
I’d drift among millions of diamonds
And with every passing second more would appear
More ravishing than the ones I had seen before

With every grain of sand falling through an hourglass
I would become more greedy
To have that galaxy all to myself
I was addicted
To have those stars shine just for me
For them to be as exquisite as the best champagne
Only for my eyes
Was my biggest desire

I craved to indulge in them
Every second, minute, hour of the day
They were mine after all
Only mine
Those stars
My biggest weakness
And dearest fixation

And then one day
They were gone
And like a drug addict in withdrawal
Without them
I was deserted of any gaiety
The euphoria I felt was was extinguished

When I would search for them
I would find bleak emptiness
Their glow was dissipated
And so was mine

The immense burning I felt
To find myself once more drifting among the stars
Dreaming to fall once more
Into that ocean of sparkling diamonds
Was eating away at me from inside

I came to the realisation that it is true
The stars don’t shine for those not worthy of them
And greed is the deadliest weapon
Which ultimately destroyed my beloved constellations

Driven by passion
Her thoughts wandered off
Into to the darkness
Into  the unknown

Her perception of love
Shaped by your words
Immaculate in their form
By her always adored

Playing around with her heart
Your favourite marionette
She was blinded by your sweet words
And would forget

Unaware of the faux love
She went along
Falling deeper into your arms
And deep into her thoughts

But now that she woke up
You’ve fallen instead
And see, that though you wanted a drizzle
You ended up with a storm

I poured in all my hopes
Gifted you with my time
That so quickly escaped
And with its exile
I saw you for
All the cruel lies
That your soul was
Having an affair with
