put me on
as you would a shirt,
your hands
reach inside of me,
your head
the center of my heart,
I fit snug against
your belly and
caress your back
with every movement,
my fabric soothes you
each motion you make
pulls my weave tighter
and secures our bond,
my color suits you
choose me each and
every morning
I'll be your armor,
take me off
with the greatest care
press and fold me,
let me rest my
seamly soul
next to your
til the day
turns you

I sit at my rear window looking
over the rooftop of the opposite building

There's a woman who frequents there
she's tall and lean with ebony hair

I smile to myself as I wait
she ha mesmerized me, as of late

There she is now, right on time
she steps out in all her exquisite prime

I sigh, Ahh, she has such a carefree way
it's enchanting to see her joyous and gay

She strolls from corner to corner, then back
her happiness shows in each step of her tracks

I giggle as she skips and twirls
her head a mass of bouncing curls

She possesses my attention for this little while
she's my allusion of the Queen of The Nile

A flower is born beautiful
sweet in its unconsciousness
serene with its tenderness

A flower will freely
surrender to the winds
with endless twists and bends

A flower stands helpless
speaking although silent
with a voice so fragrant

A flower expresses love
is given to glory the dead
The majesty of a flowers' bed

A flower is an object of Art
their sight causes pure pleasure
an exquisite gift from nature

Looking out at the world of rain
Beating steady on the window pane

See the flowers and bushes bend
Sweet rain, will make every amend

Stepping out from under the tree
Feeling the drops fall all over me

Splash through the puddles
Til I'm a complete muddle

And when the rain is done
Then I wait for the sun

The fresh pure scent in the air
There is nothing that can compare

I go lay myself in the grass
Wait for that moment at last

Don't want to miss a minute of the bliss
As the rainbow appears from my past

As I roam through
the produce section
I'm just too spoiled
with all the selection

I could opt for spinach
a salad could suit
With tomato and mushroom
my days vitamins to boot

Maybe to pick broccoli
would be the perfect choice
Toss it up with pasta
a bowl with a bold voice

It's so hard to decide
Do I elect to stirfry
Something fresh and savory
it's such an easy alibi

Oh, whatever I choose
it will be eaten with pleasure
Then I will return another day
to pick a whole other treasure

Hearts bleed out scarlet
Tomatoes grow on the vine
Love burns like a fire
We stop when we see the sign
Joy paints on a tint of rouge

Little white lies
as they slither through a life
like a worm through the earth
leaving tracks in the truth

Little white lies
as they tangle within relationships
saying yes when feeling no
keeping quiet to save the sorrow

Little white lies
as they interweave through the years
knitting the fake amidst the cake
hiding the false for loves sake

Little white lies
as they ramble through the mind
getting lodged against things real
affecting what bits to let reveal

Little white lies
as they twist and turn
can make an unremoveable stain
leaving behind an insane pain
