Years of neglect have
Covered my garden
Allowing brambles and weeds
To grow wild
The flowers unseen underneath
A cover
of cascading green lushness
Dotted with white and pink
Hidden by thorns
And winding weeds
Patient beauty is waiting
Yet uncaring laziness is
Suffocating tender blooms
Denying them light

Seduced by fruit
So sweet and tasty
Of a thorny vine
Lulled into complacency
Unaware of silent unfoldment
In darkness

Step by step
We uncover the secret
Cutting away thorns
Clearing out the
Dead and the dying
Shedding light
Into places of decay
Discovering flowers
We never knew where there
Glory in color
No longer hidden
Is finally able
To shine

This is one of my very first poems, written during a time of deep soul searching :-)

Rays of white-golden light
Caress warmly naked skin
Observing in childlike wonderment
Incomprehensible communication
Between the tangible
And the abstract of
Sunlight painted patterning
Seeping through green foliage
Between nothingness and leaves
Soundless to the human ear
The dance of sunbeams
Yet music is all around

A gentle breeze is whispering
Stories through the trees
Rustling leaves, an eager response
Of unfathomable rhythms
And infinite keys
Creating perfect harmony

Light and sound in color
Immerse my beingness
Intoxicated by beauty in
Gratitude and joy with
Infinite love for
All-That-Is
The symphony of life

Perched against an ancient stone
That stands on top of the hill
Bathed in the crystalline light
Of a November sun
And wrapped in my winter coat
I listen
To the Makers of Wings
That dance through my being
Until
Dimensions shift within

While one reality is fading
A new one opens up
Giving access to
Beautiful geometry
Of multi-colored light
Dissolving matter into
Fluid rainbows that
Make me wonder:
Where does this body stop,
And where the stone begin?

There is no more I
Nor is there a You
There is no grass, no stone, no air
No cold or warmth
And
While my senses are blending
Light and sound
The veil is lifting

The feeling of connectedness
Leaves no room for thoughts
I drift in timeless space through
The eternity of the moment
That allows me
A glimpse of what I am

A chilly autumn breeze shifts
Dimensions back again
To where my brain translates
Geometry into matter
And tricking me once more
Into illusions

On the far horizon
Out of undefined grayness
Of multidimensional vapors
Ascending water
Reconnects as a cloud

And above me
In the blueness of the sky
White feathery wisps appear
A clearly visible Infinity Sign
Morphing into the double helix
Of a strand of DNA

How powerful the metaphors
We create along the way
As guidance on the winding path
Of the ever expanding Self

And out of the silvery cloud
Hanging over the sea
The White Phoenix is rising

Entrancing sounds
Plucking at my heartstrings
Bubbling golden
Like champagne
Traveling through my beingness
And invoking
Distant echoes and
Long forgotten memories
Of life in fluidity
Unfolding choreography
A ballet of
Colors
Unknown to human eyes
Yet I see and feel
their presence
Opening up infinity
Connected through love

Sounds and rhythms
Reverberate through my body
Touching each
And every cell
Which respond with
Tiny sparkles
Creating harmony within
To music from without
Emanating
Soul sounds
