I dropped my pocket four days ago
I hardly noticed at the time
But when I went to find your note
I found it had been left behind

Along with every untossed penny
And clumps of tissue and twine
Although in truth it was no great pocket
Somehow I’d lost all that was mine
Lxvi Nov 2021
curiosity killed the cat,
yet left me on the floor,
although I know
I have begged and spat,
I always come back for more.

failure has feasted upon my esteem
and made me a mockery so it would seem
it's tricks have alluded to bettering ways,
yet leaving me lost, indecipherable maze.
perfection exist as a dream.

Direction has driven my wires crisscrossed
convinced of the letters i had left untossed
Now upon my arrival
I've become homicidal
and will **** all those memories lost.
