Faded pictures ,faded thoughts on happiness,
I know I loved you surreptitiously,without a doubt
I clung to your soul and hung on to you like a coat.
But then a silly, fleeting moment of pure selfishness and untamed banter
I led myself astray and engaged my speech in fanciful flirtations
another man entertaining my eyes with deceivingly mild words
And you saw them, read them absorbed them,
in my shame i cowered and took cover under my own defense!
I tried to hoodwink being caught by the long arm of pertinnent soul searching for true love.
you weeded me out ,in my bad and i cannot never apologise enough for the faults that are in me.
I can never in a single heart beat re unscar the people in your path i've burnt but I know i can from you ebb into a better woman.
Singing silent songs of redemption and understanding who we are I will place you on that pedestal called love because you are the king that occupies my heart.
