The Breeze Whispered Gently In My Ear,
"Shhh," It Said,"Mother Earth Is Here."
A Single Feather Dropped From Her Wing,
"Do Not Cry, She Gave You The Gift To Sing."
The Sun Smiled And Bombasticly Said,
"Mamma Earth Is Always Here To Clear Your Head."
Dew Drops Smiled On The Tips Of Wheat,
"She Still Thieves Though She Is Dressed In Concrete."
A Slate Blue Guppy Waved A Fragile Fin,
"Mother Earth Always Wins."
Waves Danced With The Invisible Arms Of The Moon,
"Please Return To Mamma Soon."

I Was Made From Pollen And Brittle Beige Petals,
My Blood Was Created From Silver Dewdrops,
My Eyes Were Made From Two Summer Leaves,
And My Lips Were Created By Ripe Strawberries,
I Feed Off Of The Sun And I Am Anchered In Soil,
Yet There Is Always The Threat Of Being Plucked,
Of Being Put Into A Vase Just For Show,
But I Will Wilt Because I Am No Longer Rooted,
To The Earth's Resonating Crust

With Every Pain Plagued Word,
Hope Glimmers In The Raw,
It's Purest Form--Unnoticed,
Shakes Within Every Breath,
Fragile Fingertips Wander Over,
Sacred Scarred Skins,
Cryptic Writing Recoils,
Underneath Smears Of Onyx Ink,
In The Darkness A Hand Lay Still,
Mid-Sentence It Is Silent

Until The Sun Rises Again

The Light Strikes The Pale Blue Eye,
The Rays Guide The Feeble Hand,
The Frail Hand Moves The Quill,
And Writes The Divine Script*

A Smooth Howl Sounded,
Bellowing From The Northeast,
Melancholy Brewed,
Between The Voice's Rich Notes,
Every Stirring Creature Stopped*

Figures Stand Stone Still In Stained Glass Windows,
Yet Their Colors Sway To My Lone Voice

Vultures Soar Under The Eye Of The Sun,
Yet They Pause Just To Enjoy The Sound

Butterflies Flutter In The Hue Of Dusk,
And Then Are Lulled To A Gentle Slumber From My Despair

Fingers Tangled Together,
Friends Blur Into One Harmony,
One Beating Heart--Breathing All At Once,
We Are Family With Different Blood Lines,
Sisters With Different Shades Of Skin,
Eyes Of Different Views--Yet We See The Same Mother,
Our Lips Form Every Vowel With Grace,
And Every Word Offers Us Embrace,
We Are A Melody Upon A Summer Breeze,
Birdsong In Spring--Because We Have Fell Victim,
To The Allure Of Song*

For Some Reason A Smile Burns Into My Skin,
I Love The Feeling Of The Flame
My Hands Feel Lighter--No Shackles To Be Found,
My Torso Moves To No Particular Song,
My Arms Strike The Air With Precision,
As The Rhythm Coarses Through My Body,
Butterflies Rattle My Bones For No Reason,
My Foot Taps From The Churning Adrenaline,
Faces Which Plagued My Vision Are Now Friendly,
Characters In A Teeter-Tottering Chapter Book,
My Heart Beats Quickly--I'm Feeling The Vibe,
That Today's Going To Be A Good Day
