Our eyes meet
it's electric , almost magnetic
we look at each other as if we are
the only people on earth,
and in our minds we are the gods
of the universe,
our souls are united , we are not
two hearts but one,
we are the love couple's in folk tales
uniting in this life time.

We exchange words that
sound poetic while we sit
and feel them course through
our every vein. The love we
share is a bit chaotic. We sit
at night up in our attic. Watching
the silver moonlight from the
window frame. Counting the
stars like it's the only game.
We tangle our hands as if they
are tied with shackles and chains. The only thoughts that come
to our brains are thoughts of
our love and how it all happened
as it was  unarranged. Sitting
in the attic you touch my skin.
Making it feel like a wild flame
that's being put out by rain.
Looking in your eyes i see the prettiest sunrise. Holding your
hands feeling ocean waves. I
listen to your heart as its beats
rhyme with mine. I want you
curled under my skin and always
in m mind. I want you standing
safe and guarded behind the
cage of my ribs. Just like babies
do at night in their cribs. We are
the lovers that the poet's mentioned back in the old age

We are the lovers whom are destined to meet each other in every life time again and again**  ~

It's the sixth of Muharram
and we just cried about
Qasim
The little hall is getting fuller,
but my inhaler's there to rescue
when it wasn't there to save
Sakina
from the flames at Sham-e-Ghariba
Or help to heal As-Sajjad
and make him a bit stronger.

The tension's rising, because I
have never been, and Iraq is
in so much undeserved trouble
And the mosque's gotta close
by twelve or the authorities'll
get to ya.
And we don't want that to happen.

The saf is rushed, and words pronounced wrong
seven year old's are joining the adult one
even though they know they're too short
because no one's taught 'em how to do it

It's gham time and the Maulana's
rushing it, quickening the masaib
so as not to go overtime

Sitting and observing
and trying to see it as an
outsider
It's all so beautiful
the tears for goodness and the
community spirit
We're not terrorists trying to
take over the world
We're Hussainis, try'na
help it
A horribly written poem about the general atmosphere at a Khoja Shia Mosque right now. If the context and explanation is wanted, don't hesitate to let me know. It'd be really quite interesting if you like history, politics and philosophy.

They say,
Everything that is unexplored,
Unreached by human!
Retains its natural beauty.
Remains beautiful forever
I dare to deny!
I can qoute,
shadows of glowing Centaurs
Visible from the top of,
World's most beautiful,
man made city,
In the fading light of day,
But I will rather qoute you.
I shall testify,
The unfathomable beauty of yours,
Whenever is touched,
And explored by me,
With love and care,
Comes out be more beautiful.
More charming and lovely.
Hence I can say,
Whatever has been created by God,
If it is touched and explored,
By a man With love and care!
Becomes more beautiful!
Man is a magical being,
Love is a magnificent skill

The water pump
Old, lonely and rusty
Standing as a minnow
Surrounded by giant trees
Yet firm
Un-threatened
Knowing,
That its connected
To the core of earth
Deeper than the roots of those giant trees.

The water pump!
Fetches the cold clean water
Right from the heart of earth
In the scorching heat,
To ease the thirst of needy.

That water pump!
Minnow yet tall!
Old yet lively!
Rusty yet running!
Lonely yet helping!

It could eat smaller birds,
Rats, frogs and what not?
Smaller is the only requirement,
And it will not give another thought.

How strange is that for an spider,
Its an insect eating the aves,
But it has been always like this
Since when we were living in caves.

It has been the rule of world
Smaller one gets always eaten
How much civilised we claim to be
Still its the weak one who gets beaten.

So its better to accept the fact.
Bigger one wins weather man or insect.
