Do you remember that July night by the Seneca River?
You snuck out your window to see me & we sipped iced tea beside the water,
listening to Johnny Cash.

That was the same night you promised to play Pink Floyd on guitar for me.
You inched so close that my heart nearly stopped.
I wish things were as simple now as they were two months ago.

I posed a querry to the stone on the summit and from it I got neither bile. Nor *****.crickets chirping loudly into the night. The silenced with fright at once. Time passed through the hourglass with silty silence.

So I posed a querry. Slathered in razzleberry jam to the powers that am.
And the dedafening roar of NEVERMORE did bowl me over. So I posed another.  Smotherd in clover and lo and behold the universe expanded in deafening silence.

Alas I am left with para of noia .
Furtive. Distrustfull. Disgusted evunnn. As said snagglepus.
A wuss in sheeps clothing. Serpentine riddle. No front nor back nor side nor middle. Left wanting of truth left here to self ******.
Awww fiddle.  Hey didle didle.

The cat and the fiddle.... licking his chops
Playing all sides agin the middle

for many
Christmas is a time of traditions
tree decorating
lights
gift exchanges
caroling
candles
family dinners
where planning all the above
is half the fun
and caring for one another
is proof of the pudding
(razzleberry dressing)

for some
traditions go on
skewed and miscued
existence shattered
heartbeats shuttered
life just holding on
but the world keeps spinning
albeit upside down

inconsequential, random memories
trigger teardrops
bird sightings and dragonflies
stir yearnings
both measures of comfort
and reminders of unbearable loss
proverbial double edged swords

time doesn't heal
but it moves on
doors close
windows open
and dreams show the way
for new beginnings
every year lights a new candle
of hope

so
Merry Christmas!
Happy Holidays!
and Happy New Year!
'Tis the season of change
