Yearning to be where I wasn't before
Look for warm, lively, or simply for fair?
Bitter and sweet, unknown wonders in store
Passion, beauty, burning into my heart
Sleek silhouettes of towers capture my soul
Gorgeous grandure beckoning a new start
Hidden marvels calling me for a stroll
People, joyous and seductively free
Joy of life vibrating through old steep streets
Mysterious Douro, transfixing me
Majestic wild ocean your shoreline meets
The wind through your alleys whispers my name

Que a tua sabedoria e leveza de viver,
Te ressuscitem sem nunca morrer,
Deus te eleve no paraíso ao amanhecer.
Também tu amaste a terra, o céu, o mar...
Nas escadas de tua avo gostavas de conversar,
Olhavas para todos com inocência singular.
Na tua ultima mensagem que me emociona,
Versos da mais bela poesia vem a tona.
Meu amigo poeta religioso duriense, portuense,
Com teu olhar abraças o teu semelhante,
Amaste tua terra e sua gente...
Me rejuvenesce Santo Deus para Sempre te amar,
Abre as Janelas do céu para Tabosa da Pena entrar,
No Olimpo que cantem todos os anjos sua gloria,
E a eternidade seja a tua vitoria ...
