Joy of life vibrating through old steep streets
Mysterious Douro, transfixing me
Majestic wild ocean your shoreline meets

The wind through your alleys whispers my name
Portuense, setting my heart aflame

Que a tua sabedoria e leveza de viver,
Te ressuscitem sem nunca morrer,
Deus te eleve no paraíso ao amanhecer.
Também tu  amaste a terra, o céu, o mar...
Nas escadas de tua avo gostavas de conversar,
Olhavas para todos com inocência singular.
