“Out of water, I am nothing” Duke Kahanamoku
By: Tina Vu

Glowing bright star in the morning sky,
Pale blue gray waves crashing on the sand,

I sit looking out at the vast pool,
Contemplating what move I should make.

Thinking of the cycle of life,
Making sure I knew where I fit.

I close my eyes, leaning back,
Taking in the tides.

Tides come, tides go.
Life comes, life goes.

When will I know my purpose,
Where will I be in life?
