I never knew
how life could be
Until I met you

You drew me in
like a moth to flame
I didn't care if it was a sin

To love another more
than your own life
You made me soar

In life, in love
Your exactly
what I've been dreaming of

From the first moment
that I saw you
I knew I could admit

Every little thing
to you
without the inevitible sting

There's no denying
--Just gonna say it--
what I'm trying

To say is
*I love you

The inevitible certainty,
The unfathomable truth of it.
The end, the complete finallity,
We can never understand,
When it occurs it is too late.

Death. We can never know it.
But it is the one complete certainty we have.
I could be hit by a bus today,
Or fall under a train tomorrow.
Or maybe it will be decades away
In my bed surrounded by my family
And I will follow my dreams into the darkness.

When your end comes,
When you can feel the life draining from you,
When you look back on your life
Will it be a life you're proud of?
Did you live your dreams?

And what of those left behind?
What will they say of you?
Is it really death that terrifies us
The finallity, the unknown,
Or is it the regrets we may have,
The reality of the life we lived.

The Swell

We see a human face

and the fear that drives it's heart,

so easily forgotten

for the things that pull Us apart.

From the start, We will treat you as a person-

it's up to Us where we go from there.

Together, We could tear down our prejudice

for a chance with love and care.

We relinquish the need for a universal control

so that new growth springs

from cracked concrete,

mielony mor.

Nature will inherit The Earth.

We listen to Her,

Her suppressed wisdom,

channelling Her Power,

Resilience

& Tolerance.

We Touch,

Hear a heart beating,

it's reactive rythmn,

as We step closer to one another,

the intensity of connection

building

branching

and reaching for the light.

We understand all there is to understand,

that We will know nothing

before The End,

before The Horizon.

Time is our commodity

and, We know what that should cost.

We understand the value

in Becoming

lost.

We embrace the coming change

as inevitible,

beautiful;

We would not stand in it's way,

shackle it to Our will

or deny it's murky reality.

We are in metamorphosis.

We evolve

and resolve

to find another way, Our way.

We find something new

beneath each word,

from every colour,

move through space with all Our senses,

open,

putting nothing under cover.

And, taking Trauma as Our lover,

We will nurture each Other.

Did that fabled ruby fall with such ease?
It rolls toward me - knowingly -
with grave purpose clear.
A glance Heaven-ward offers hope; reassurance even; that they all end up
this way.

Meanwhile, moored folk flock to go:
This way, out, private politicians plotting their escape. Looking so natural. Practised and prim. It is why the eventual carving blade shall be so smooth and swift?

I take it just as they had then. But,
Rather than soil or stain,
Aching flesh simply crumbles in my Palm.
The Grave always beckons it. I already listen for the next branch struggling to avoid it's inevitible yield.
I urge it on.
A poem about fatalism.
