I am here
to visit with my animals,
pigeons & eagles,
jaguars & mantises,
crows & cranes,
lions & tigers,
cobras & frogs,
cats & dogs
are all
calling me
to work,
to sweat the
sacred-moves.

O how funny,
I did forget
the drunken monkey!

Breathing through my nose
A pyramid base feels nice

I started my healthy diet
just last week.
Was going
to incorporate it
with a daily dose
of Ashtanga & Kundalini.

And wouldn’t you know it,
I pull an intercostal
the very first day
of a new routine.

Now, I’m laid up
with sore ribs, full of fish
& smelling like menthol.

I'm going to torch up some nag champa,
turn the lights down low
and indulge in some ashtanga.
