Angels and Demons
Whispering on your shoulders.
My shoulders lay bare.

I often contemplate
On the complexity of life
Why darkness still dominates
Even when it's bright

It always seems like
While others are fine
I tend to be the only one
That wants to die

Drunk on thoughts
Disgusted with life
Get me out of here
I'm drowning inside

Intoxicated with madness
I'm in love with my sadness
The pain is overwhelming
Can't you see me crumbling?

If there is a God
I want to ask Him why
Why did He leave me
Holding onto lies

I try to suppress my memories
But instead
I keep them close to me
Only to find out
It is what that kills me

Singing angels of the deep
****** me into quasi-sleep
To wander far-off shores.

I see the sky of molten lead
I see the waves, restless and dead
The souls that sing no more -

Piercing cry and banshee's wail
Sound from behind the heavy veil
Of immortality.

Monsters, lovers, all the same
In this dark and dreary dream --
The veil keeps you from me.

paint splattered on a blank canvas

cold coffee resting on the window pane
walking alone in the street called memory lane

as she recalled their promise of forever
and as her mind drift back to the past,

she ran her fingers through her hair
how long is this gonna last?
