Once Upon A Wind Oct 2013
O Lord keep darkness from my feet
Till death do me well and our eyes meet
The open door is what I seek
So light my path and guide my feet
All things through Him who strengthens me
I live for you, so set me free
Once Upon A Wind Oct 2013
Staring into the void all thoughts asunder
Where heart meets soul to create its wonder
Where fears run rampant and visions plunder
Where lies lay bare and fold strivings under
Where night terrors roam and find their place
Where stones collapse and dreams debase
Where none can hide or seek life’s embrace
Where one’s own soul reaches its solace
Where life forms dust and lessons chide
Where cracks run deep, spread far and wide
In this obsidian plane, none can abide
Once Upon A Wind Oct 2013
Dark to dawn, dawn to light, piercing rays combat the night
Dipping moon drawing nigh, floating, trancing, tracing by
Yawning morning beckons still, willing sun against night’s chill
Clash of forces, voice of wills, call to victory ever still
Shades the night, lumens the day - tendrils and spirals to strip away
Entwined in struggle, surging forth, seeking the coruscating flow
Darkness snared, one final blow - finally ending the blight of night
Out of the darkness and into the light, conflict restored - enjoin the fight
Dawn to dusk which can we trust, both sides are found in all of us
