The Future
Wild Girl Jun 2012
Gone too soon to tell
How everything fell
Like the soft silk hair
That made her fair
The tale is told
Letting others unfold
The strange mystery
Of how our history
Fell into the hands
Of such fiery bands
To horribly destroy
The land like a small toy

Firefly
Wild Girl Jun 2012
Brighten the night
With your great light
Oh, firefly
Don't let it die
It's the best kind
Of light you'll find
O' anywhere
Or here or there
So take a chance
Really enhance
This sad dark night
With your own light

The White Land
Wild Girl Aug 2012
A vast snowy terrain
Like a snowy white skin
Covering a treasure underneath
A dark shadow lays over it for a time
Then slowly it pulls itself
Out of it's leech-like hold
It had on the glittering white plain
Allowing light to finally peek through it
This place I'm describing is Antarctica and the dark shadow is describing the time that Antarctica is dark (no sun).

Water World
Wild Girl Jul 2012
I rush forward and jump
I feel the wind rush
Through my damp tangled hair
Then the chilling sensation
As cold water engulfs me
I open my blue eyes
To find a world
Unlike any other I've seen
Minnows dash and ***** snip
There's something else here
Something that pulls me close
A tug of fascination
A whole universe captures
In the blink of an eye

Lost Love
Wild Girl Jun 2012
Lost in a tornado of motion

Caught in a tsunami of feelings

Confused in a hurricane of wind

Buried in an avalanche of broken promises

Burned in a wild fire of hate

Frozen in a blizzard of no hope

Shattered in an earthquake of heartbreaks

Consumed in a flood of tears

Parched in a drought of no love

Destroyed in a sandstorm with nothing

Peace
Wild Girl Jul 2012
The time will come

When friends will become friends

All will join hands

No matter who they are

Trust will ripple through the crowd

Like a wave in the sea

And we will all become one

A candle burning
Wild Girl Jun 2012
It's all plain and simple
Just close your eyes
And you'll see why
What do you see
I ask you now
I know what I see
I see a candle burning
Inside everyone and everything
That breathes, lives, and thrives
Flames and candles of all sorts
As they grow older
The candles grow shorter
Until the day comes
For dear loved ones
To let the flame die
This poem is an experiment so it may not be a good one.

Darkness
Wild Girl Jul 2012
I walked that night
Til' my soul had finished
Spilling out heartfelt tears
I didn't want this
I had never wanted it
Yet here I am
An outcast, a burden
I was shunned
Since the day of my birth
Yet I had found a way to live
Without everyone realizing who I was
But now as the sun shines
Upon my nearly lifeless figure
Everyone knows the truth
Of what's behind this mask
Of lies and untold secrets
And now I realize that deep
Inside of me all these years
I had known that this was
What I truly deserved
Being who I am
And what I've done
To stay secret and anonymous
I've been a slinking shadow
Through everyone's lives
But now I am a beam of light
In those lives my darkness had merely touched
As I feel death lap at my feet
I welcome it with regret
For what I've done

Gone
Wild Girl Jul 2012
Gone in
Only sixty seconds
No
Evidence left behind

I** can't believe
No one

Saw her leave
I can
X out
The posssiblity that
You ran away darling

So why would anyone
Ever take my
Chica away from her
Own family
No, wherever you may be
Don't forget me
So you may come home

Wolves V.S. Humans
Wild Girl Jun 2012
A flash of claws
One down, three to go
Hunted by day
Watched by night
Brown, Grey, Black
Orange, Yellow, White
Claws and teeth
Guns and numbers
Who will win?
This poem can take a little explaining to understand. Every other sentence starting from the top one is talking about the wolves and every other sentence starting from the second line is talking about the humans. Like when it says "hunted by day" I mean the wolves are hunted during the day and the humans in the next line are watched by the wolves at night. If you don't fully understand let me know. :)

Dreams
Wild Girl Jun 2012
A flash, a glimmer
Dreams o' Dreams
Everything you wish

A storm in my head
Chock full of
Cloudy memories

A dash of sunlight
It's now clear
What I want is here

It's all in my head
Dreams o' Dreams
Not just in the bed

My deepest wishes
Here they are
Swirling in the mist
This poem is made of multiple lunes using the pattern 5-3-5. In case anyone wanted to know. :)

Ocean
Wild Girl Jun 2012
Waves like tears
Leave a wet trail
On a sandy face
Grassy eyelashes
Weighed down, soaked
A red-rimmed-sun
Off in the distance
Embedded on top
Of the ocean of tears.

Daryl is Dead
Wild Girl Jun 2012
I can feel the pack
All watching my back
Their fur brushes
As if everything was fine
But Daryl is dead
I think I'll lose my head
When I heard the shot
All I saw was a dot
As it sped along
The birds stopped their song
I do not want to dine
As if everything was fine
Cause it's not
Daryl has been shot
FYI: Daryl is not real, I just put the name in because it sounded good to me.

Senses Reversed
Wild Girl Jun 2012
As colorful as a raven's wing
As black as a rainbow

As white as the darkest night
As dark as a wispy cloud

As silent as a raging mob
As loud as a falling feather

Senses reversed

Dancing in the rain
Wild Girl Jun 2012
Dancing in the rain
I feel the thunder come strained
Every drop like a sea
Pouring down on me
