Went to the frig
For a boiled egg.
At the veggie tray—
Not looking for veg.
Didn’t see what I wanted,
But knew it was there.
My question then:
The eggs!  But where?
Then, before my eyes,
In spite of myself,
Boiled eggs in a bowl
On the bottom shelf.

FOOTNOTE: It’s important to look in the right place for the right thing, at the right time.
Ready for the challenges
Life will surely bring.
Forever love remains poised
To withstand the sting.

Now, to its sincere moorings,
Love's a gentle king
Chiming with all faithfulness
That shall ever ring.

For its grace and purity
Love does humbly sing.
Beholden unto sacrifice,
But honors it will bring.
Yesterday’s a deserted puddle
With water all dried up.
The memories are savoring,
But empty is the cup.

And yesterday is a bare glass
With not a thing to drink.
It holds no substance in its hand;
Just fleeting, like a wink.

And like the total silence of
A pleasant sounding fife--
Yesterday, like shifting sand,
Is just a phase of life.
Like an old blanket,
Fold up 'last year,'
And place it on the shelf of time.
Box up its contents,
Which rings no longer prime.
Take up today and journey on—
Understanding that...
Yesterday no longer speaks.
For yesterday is gone.
My friends
Deserve more than
I can possibly give.
And, so, I pray for them as best
I could.

Bless my
Friends, oh God, each
One according to their
Kindness, and their many selfless
Merits.
The clouds,
Like milking cows
Are ready to drop down
An abundance of rain by the
Pails full.
I have
Walked with God ‘pon
The Mountaintops. I’ve walked
With Him mid the bright sunshine and
Wild blooms.

And I’ve
Walked with my God
Thro’ deep valleys, spite the
Shadow of death that loomed. I walk
With God.
