Virlyn Nov 2014
I lay my body next to yours
to caress your youthful hand
with mine as our eyes
gently close with our lullabies.
A smile takes my lips
when I wake to find
our now weathered fingers
still intertwined
through everything remembered
as a life-long dream.

From when languid skin
did suit me
and a thousand lights
whispered.

Two
Above morning from their window
two watch every star
and only this breath is vast.

You showed me
this world where
all anyone needs is
a small orange post-it note.
My inspiration
Virlyn Nov 2014
Let us walk in this serenity
when the world becomes too much.
We can make this our reality-
Just for tonight

Tomorrow we'll return,
And watch the world go by.
Waiting for when we can escape-
But just for tonight.
