Love is new to me and that's a fact, tell what should I do
And how should I act? I'm going to start living again
Said goodbye to Mr Lonely because we were never really friends
No more tears in the dark night silently falling down
Since love has come to us, guess I'll hang around
Smiling all of the time and busy gathering future dreams
Things don't seem as sad as others would have you believe
Sadness has given a pardon to me and on the subject of this love
I know we both can agree, but I know even though I'm a bit slow
Love is new to me

On the last day of November rain from the sky fell down on me
Soft as your tender touch just as refreshing
I'm grateful for the little and big things that you do
Did you ever notice the delight my eyes take when you walk into the Room. I want to love in to the next two centuries
So glad you want to spend that time with me
When  other people's dreams are tired and done
I still want you as the only one
To share the laughter and the pain

What are we doing right now to save our teenage girls and boys
Out on city streets selling their bodies and being treated like throwaway
Toys. We need to raise protesting voices and to our legislators really
Make some voting  noise in an effort to save the unprotected children
Every girl and boy. This is a daily problem in our country we see
With open eyes our children are hurting and dying and far to wise
We owe it to all of our children in Philadelphia and around the world
A clean and loving childhood every boy and girl
Human life people should not be viewed as cheap
Far to many are dying away from home and on the mean and *****
Streets. And before you lay a tired head down to sleep tonight
In your warm and clean bed, what about the children?

Once upon a time we really loved each other
But the romance slowly faded day by day
You started going to bed in a long flannel gown and bathrobe
To keep warm in bed you used to say
Pecked me on my cheek than turn away
After we broke in due time I got down and asked the Lord up above
Not to run into you in the stores or on the streets
Because somehow I might be tempted and old sweet memories
Just might come rushing back in on me
I wonder who are you holding now
And are you still sleeping in flannel gown and bathrobe
Does he know that you 'll kick the dog when nobody else is around
Once upon a time is all I now have to remember you by
Got to hold on to  my strength
But  sometimes tears make it slip
And I start to cry

Our time just ended and now I see it was just all one big laughing joke
To everyone but me, funny how love ran smoothly than stopped
I feel the whole world is laughing now but not with me
I should throw my hands up and say  goodbye to a rotten affair
My brain says just walk away why should you even care
You played such a leading part up and walked away
Left this man broken and down with a bleeding heart
You know it's difficult to rejoice at any time with a broken heart
And what the feelings had to say
When sorrow in blood has written down your name
Hope that one day love will smile on you again
But as for me, every day will be just the lonely same

Don't you know a good love is hard to find
You'll search and search all over for someone of the same soul and mind
And even when find that that special person
You're likely to make some grave mistakes
But hang on in there with everything inside
I tell that's what it takes
The very day I found you felt as if I was in an Earthquake
Every day now I wake up I speak to you in love's own voice
So very glad that you're my personal choice
A good love is hard to find
Inside now feeling so good
That you're fine and all mine

Swimming in darkness trying to overcome waves of confusion
In that vast sea nowhere to run for escape
Like being in a airtight room with no key
Walking around with a normal appearance but slowly going mad inside
Not knowing left or right wanting to stay in bed under the covers
You've found the perfect place to hide
Constant pounding in your head
Daily madness knocking out your needs
People all around but much to busy to hear a personal  plea
Swimming in darkness won't somebody help me, please
