Stars, Earth, you and me;
Seeds planted, growth eternal-
God-dreamed universe
Haiku?

katie
The willow hangs,
drapes the ground,
dances to a tune
unheard in the hum
of cars and lorries,
in the commotion of
people passing in a
hurry, barely noticing
anything more than the
phones tapped with
fingers & thumbs.
But I notice,
I see it all,
the dance on display,
the symbol of sanity
I need today.
Val Vogel Dec 2015
Raw, earnest power
Staid, made love flowers
Binds, twines, enlightens
Free, not-free, frightens
Tender heart, alive
Sincere yearnings, strive,
Seeking you, and me
To see and be made
New this day, afraid
Unconditional
And sensational!

My puffed up ego
Like a train whistling past time
Leaving pollution

Please, please answer me
But what am I asking?

Reaching for
What?
Pain or joy breaks like waves
Subliminal
Ethereal
Divine
Like hope
Like death
Like life itself
Asking-

Restless spirit despite abundance;
Security wanting, waiting, a dream-
Bells toll in life's dance..

Once a lad and growing so
Days spun and spanning into years aglow-
Vitality, vim and vigor strong
Life's sweet pathways sometimes short sometimes long-
Boy-becomes-man journey
Letting go, each, that father-son tourney

Wave spreading in the sun
Smiles scatter warmly in youth's summer fun
Breaking over life’s beach
Sharing nourishment its lessons to teach
Dreams and hopes and coping
Even during seasons pained and molting

Like a dance, almost love
Son’s own rhythm within, below, above

Yearning, turning, learning hope, and love;

Hours to days to lifetimes to eternity-

All is one, becoming so, but for now, which is ours.
