A 911 call
Victim is so blue
Bleeding from the heart
Died while enroute to reconciliation
Buried in a deep and painful longing

A beautiful day
is on the way
The flowers
get a gentle spray
The bees are happy
as can be
The geese fly over
in a vee.
The sun shines down
in beaming rays
As it does on most
lovely days
Traffic on the road
is in a bustle
As people get to work
in a hustle.

Nothing to see here.
Took my absence long ago.
Right before your eyes.

He took his belt off
The child is afraid and torn
between love and hate.

I can't say enough,
about your new lease on life.
Rents space in my head

The years run and leap
Age fights, but in it does creep
Youth, hold on and keep

A lifetime I've spent
Fearing people and places
My home, deep in me

Once rushed in the house,
with a pig under my arm.
Didn't read the room.

I am light hearted
Didn't used to be that way
Till I realized you are my savior
Then fell to my knees to pray
I was lost in life
Didn't know which way to turn
Mistreated by those I trusted
My soul then left to burn
Then one day I realized
That you would never harm me
That is what opened my eyes
That's what set me free
I needed to love myself
In the way a parent would
Learn to live with my shortcomings
And embrace all that is good
I thank you God every day
For forgiving all my sin
For showing me I'm loved

There once was a man from Greece
Whose flock of sheep he did fleece
The wool he sold
The sheep were cold
Their sweaters knitted by his niece

Will it ever be,
I have a beautiful day,
alone, to myelf.

You sing life alone.
Sometimes solos are needed,
to round out the choir.

Though I'm a loner
I'm never really alone
I still have myself

"I'll love you always".
These words are solid as a rock
They're written in stone.

You're ambivalent
Your mouth says you don't want me
Your eyes say I'm loved.

This thing we call two.
We could most probably do.
If we start anew.

Your names in the clouds
Written there by an angel
Hoped she'd get her wings.

When does life begin?
The answer lies in God's hands.
Angels will weigh in.

Leave me with anger.
If it's all thats in your heart.
Least I'd know you feel.

J bottle things up
Until I can breathe no more
Then the cork is blown.

As the world goes by.
I'm asking for one more try.
To capture the sky.

That's just how it goes
Sorry it's not in the cards
Can't fight city hall
My resolve even greater
After getting these answers.

So now here we stand.
Face to face but miles apart.
Speaking in cliches.

Roses they are red
Violets pretty and blue
Why did I start this poem
Hell,  I haven't got a clue

I won't fight with you.
Won't sink down to your level.
You just sling the mud.

We pass in the halls
It's as if I don't exist.
My name forgotten.
Your arrogance and your looks,
your true face lies behind.

Arrows point the way.
Yet still you are misguided.
Get on the highway.

Poems, works of art.
Mental pictures they create.
Painted with a pen.

If I held the brush,
I'd paint you into my life.
A great masterpiece.

You go off subject
Attack me personally,
someone needs a nap.

I'd split the atom,
to get you to notice me.
Or just climb a tree.

Thought I'd slam the door
So you'd stop ignoring me,
You didn't notice.

I am quite smitten.
Humbled by your attention.
Just thought I'd mention.

Took a step forward
To improve my attitude
But it's my bad leg.

We are opposites.
And we sing different songs.
But in the same key.

Will you still love me?
Please don't walk away from me.
This baby's yours too.

Why do people,
give to you a compliment,
take back with next breath

Bad news keeps coming.
The world has turned inside out.
Seams hopelessly ripped.

I was never lost
Just waiting to be found
Baggage and all.

In the seventies
The Carpenters touched my heart
With Karen's sweet voice.

On a roll today.
But then probably halfway.
Wall got in the way.

Can't pick my battles,
but can choose my fighting style.
Strategy my own.

Flat Frisbees in flight
Beach blankets bundled by boys
Love letters litter

In shallow water
Little fish nip at my toes
We bathe in the sun
Beach sand in my bathing suit
We have hot dogs on a bun

You are a beacon.
Helping me to find my way.
You are my mainstay.

The beauty in life,
Is not just one single thing.
It is a bouquet.

Beauty walks away
It really enjoyed its stay
Face now a new day.

Because you love me.
You have made me want to be,
a better person.

You should milk today.
Take it for all it is worth,
tomorrow begs you.
