Gone too soon,
too far away,
far beyond reach,
without saying goodbye.
Only memories are left now.

Don't say your goodbyes yet.
You have a long journey ahead.
Not everyday will be sunny.
Some of the days will be gloomy.
You will feel so lonely.
On such a day,
Remember someone is there,
Who will sing you a happy song
To lift your mood.
Dance funny to make you laugh.
Stand by you to let you know,
You are not alone .
Will hold your hand ,
Won't let you fall .
Don't forget ,
Don't say goodbye, just yet.

A person sadly once said to me,

"Wish someone could tell me

when and how I will die."

I replied, "Jump into a lion’s cage

anytime you feel like."

​Parakeets arrive,

munch starfruits delightfully,

bid a loud goodbye.

I called you home,

but I was just

your guest house.

Happiness is a guest,

comes and goes at will.
​
Sadness is a friend,

always stays by me.

Your words have cut so deep

I don't know where

I belong anymore

Happiness passes by me

My pain screams in silence.

"Forget about him.
Let him go.
Don't think.
Just let go,"
So they say.

"Well ,why not?" I said
"How hard can it be?"

I kept thinking about forgetting him,
then fell asleep.
There he was again,
smiling in my dream,
as if saying, "Happy forgetting."

On a gloomy day
I sat in my garden
with tears in my eyes.

Suddenly, the rain came,
sat beside me and said,
"Don’t cry—let me cry for you."

Then came the sun and said,
"Come, smile with me."

The birds arrived and sang,
"Come, sing with us."

Then came the butterflies,
"Come, dance with us."

At last, the rainbow appeared and said,
"Take all my colors
and fill your life with them again."

Together they whispered,
"Our world is beautiful—
come, be part of our world."

Why don't the heart and mind
speak the same language?

Is it because-

the mind matures
and
the heart remains a child?

Heart is not a safe,

it holds no treasure

to replace.

It is a sacred place

what lies within

remains forever sacred,

irreplaceable.

Before you, I was high spirited,  
carefree and somewhat careless.

You entered into my heart,
as I left it guardless.

The words you spoke,
left me speechless.

Your kindness,
made me selfless.

Your love,
made me breathless.

My love for you
was flawless.

Yet, one day you left me,
leaving me clueless.

Your departure,
left me helpless.

My every attempt to forget you,
turned out to be useless.

The voice in my heart keeps asking,
how can a person be so heartless?

Don't you know?
Can't you tell?
Without you, I am lifeless.

Once I was asked..if I could,
would I trade my broken heart with a perfect new heart ?
As tempting as it was,
I said I would not.
"Strange", he said. "Why not?"
With a smile I replied

"It is my broken heart that has turned me into a poet.
Each time it aches, emotions flows like a river
from where a beautiful new poem is born ,
which then I share with the world,
to bring them a moment of joy. "

She saw a face
in her dream.

When she woke,
she remembered
the face.

“Strange,” she thought,
and decided to paint it
before she forgot.

Still, she looks around,
wondering
if it were
a real person.

The walls that are
invisible to the eye
are the hardest
ones to break.

Hold on to hope

someday, one day,

everything will be all right.

Love will find its way

to your heart.

In despair,

when breathing
feels like a crime
do not give up.

When everything feels lost
hold on to hope

Keep it burning -
the candle of hope

A little hope and
a little courage

will pull you through....

       even hell.

The love,

the dream,

the chaos,

the storm

all passed by.

In the calm now,

I  am all I have.

She said, "I am afraid ."
He said, "Why? I am here."
She said, "That is why."

You are the sun,
I am your mirror.
I reflect your light
back to you.

Your rays touch me -
mine never reaches you.

I can be what you want me to be.
I can be how you want me to be.
Chained to you and not be free.

                      But-

Will you be able to love me
if I am not me...

                   truly?

If I were to leave tomorrow,
would you ever remember me?
would you visit my grave -
Is that how you'd remember me?
Or would you turn me
into a poem of yours,
and keep me alive through you?

How do I fix,
what I broke?
How do I make it right
all that went wrong?
How do I make it up to you
for all that I messed up?

If only I could
turn back time,
change everything back
exactly as it was,  
give you back
your peace and quiet-
the peace
you so rightly deserve.

If we choose to be
we can be:

the voice of the voiceless,
the strength of the weakest,
a glimmer of hope for the hopeless,
a ray of light in darkness.

why I write
so much about love

Well, what can I say -

The Taj Mahal is my inspiration.

What was love once

turned into memories,  

memories turned into ink,

ink turned you into poetry,

poetry made you immortal.

Perfection is-
an imperfect word
in this imperfect world.

Everything seems impossible—

until we make it possible.

Our meeting was nothing short of an accident.
We developed a friendship, out of nowhere.
The time we shared together was filled with adventure.

Then we reached that point in the road where we had to go our separate ways.  
So we parted ways with heavy hearts,
Though physically separated, 
we were always in each other's thoughts.

Now that the journey of life is about to end
I stopped, thinking what life would have looked like, had we made the journey together.

As I look back
searching for him
to see him one last time
to bid him the final goodbye.

I heard thunder
It woke me up
There he was
Standing next to me,
looking at me, smiling.

Now I know what life would look like
without him in it.
It feels like a second chance
A chance to change the course of my life.

But I am still in a dilemma –
which road to choose.

When time was hard

you pulled me through.

Now that death has taken you away

who do I look to?

Gone too far

Gone too soon

You are always missed.

Not by the mean faces
I see everyday ,
who smile
with a mask on.

Not by the harsh voices
I hear everyday,
that always
pull me down.

But by the unseen faces,
by their unheard voices,
only their words-
the wisdom within...

I am inspired.

"In the end

everything will be fine."

Maybe it will.

But, in the end

will it even matter?

When going back

is not an option,

all you can do

is stay still and let the storm pass by,

or keep moving forward

right through it—

hoping it will carry you

far away, to nowhere,

where nothing exists.

I often ask myself :

"Why is it so easy to die
for someone you love ,
and yet so hard to live on
for someone who cares?"

Some messages never get through.

Some love never finds a home.

Some wishes never come true.

Some wounds never heal.

Nothing hurts more

than hurting the person

you love the most.

When I was alone
in my world.
Alone, but never lonely.
Colours and canvases-
my only friends.
With no one
to care or bother.
You came along,
changed it all.
Now gone.

Yesterday, I was nothing .
I was happy.
You pulled me down .
Treated me like trash.
It ignited a fire in me.

Now, I shine bright ,
just like the Sun .
Don't come closer
You will burn ,
In my light.

It is time
to rise and fight.

It is time
to take a stand ,
for what is right .

It is time
to turn the tide .

Today is the time
to save the world,    
for our tomorrow
    
          or else

there will be none.

I want to break
all the shackles
that bind my heart
to you.
I want to break free.

Take away all the hurt.  
Take away all the pain.
I want to breathe.
I  want to break free.

I often wonder —

What is more painful:

to lose someone you once had,

                      or

to never have anyone to lose?

I have said it a thousand times
What if I say it one more time
Or perhaps a thousand times more

After all it's only three words

                          I
                      LOVE
                       YOU .

There exists an ocean

of words—

beautiful and meaningful.

Yet, sometimes

someone finds

just one word,

powerful enough

to turn a life

upside down.

ख़ुशियों से मेरे दिल को आबाद कर दो ,
गमो को मेरे दिल से आज़ाद कर दो |
अगर उम्मीद पर कायम है  ये दुनिया  ,
तो उम्मीदों से मेरा दामन भर दो  |
तुम्हारी यादें रुलाती हैं दिल को,
अपनी यादों को मेरे दिल से आज़ाद कर दो  |

Part by part
you tore me apart.
Now you ask,
have I killed you
gently enough?

Kindness touched a heart,  
the heart turned into a beautiful flower,
its fragrance is felt everywhere.

One language connects the world

Two languages create confusion

Multiple languages lead to war.

Last night, I had
a conversation with myself.

I asked,
"Am I in love with poetry,
or is it an addiction?"

I thought for a while,
couldn’t find the answer,
but I do hope
it’s an addiction—
for love always
leaves me.

If you choose

to be a student

anyone or anything

           can

be your teacher.

Today you have
the power to hurt.

Tomorrow you will be hurt.
Time will turn the tide.

Nothing always remains the same.
The high and mighty have fallen too.

History keeps reminding
again and again.
