Don't break a heart





Just take a break....

We break a piece of glass....unintentionally.
We break a loving heart....intentionally.

When a glass breaks,
it makes a sound.
When a heart breaks,
it cries in silence.

There's a pain in my heart
It doesn't go away
Does it hurt because it's broken?
Or is it because you are the reason
Is this what you called love?
Making promises and then leave,
Tearing my heart apart.
My heart is pure, so was my love for you
You were too blind to see
Lucky are those who are being loved
Someday perhaps, it will be my time
To be loved.

When a relationship
feels like a burden and
trust is found wanting

Break it before
it breaks you.

My heart was free

like a bird in the wild

you trapped it in your

prison of love

      and

when the prison

felt like home

you let it out.

Now it is lost

like the caged bird

set free —

no more caged

yet, never free.

"Take care of me
   and
I will take care of you."

When new becomes old

it loses its value.

When old becomes ancient

it becomes priceless.

When the storm inside

keeps tearing you apart,

how do you stay calm?

How do you not fall apart?

Memories are like clouds—

some are like the white fluffy ones

floating carelessly in the sky

bringing happiness and joy

putting a smile on the face

                    and

some are like the dark clouds

that stays, bringing with them

thunder and lightning

causes pain in the heart

and bring tears to the eyes.

Clouds of pain

cover the wounds

of the heart.

Innocent tears fall

like gentle drops

of rain.

Her love was like a river,
  
flowing freely in the wild,

till one day she found

a cold heart.

As her love touched his cold heart,

her love turned into ice.

She tried hard to warm his heart

and melt her love back,

but his anger was so fierce

it evaporated her love —

turned it into nothing.

When truth and lie collide

only truth survives.

Come back ,
Or give me my life back.
You took all I had.
Come back ,
You are all I have.

Loving you was my crime.

You punished me for life.

Dark clouds come and go,
but the sun always stays.

Yet every dark cloud manages
to leave behind a scar–

one that even the blazing sun
can neither erase nor hide.

Darkness has taken over the mind
Not a glimmer of light to be found
Smile has faded away
Giving way to the teary eyes
Life has lost its purpose now.

My only desire

is to see myself

through your eyes,

to see my faults

in your eyes

that drove you

away from me.

You said I had
a diamond heart.

Is that why
you crushed it –
thought it wouldn't hurt?

Do not knock,
The door of my heart is locked.
Once,  it was a glorious place
Filled with the love of my dearly beloved,
and the soft sound of my heartbeats.
Now, it's empty and silent.
Graveyard of a dead love.
A forbidden place for lovers.
Please, do not knock
You can't enter
The door to my heart is locked forever.

Don't call me back
consider me dead
if it helps you forget.

I am not coming back
I live in the shadows now
far away from your heart's reach.
I have created walls
you cannot breach.

Don't come back

breaking another's heart

stay where you are

no matter how much

it breaks my heart

I will not take you back.

I am broken,
don't fix me.
If you find me in pieces,
don't collect me.
I am replaceable,
just replace me.
It's quite easy.

Why do you worry so much?

A stalker cannot breach your heart.

For, the moment you keep someone
in your heart,

your love itself becomes a shield,
protecting your heart from all evil.

I saw her walking on a full moon night ,
Wearing a silver gown ,
Her face shining like a brilliant star .
She looked at me and smiled .

I stood ,wondering who she was .
Soon, I found her standing next to me .
She greeted me with her embrace,
and a kiss upon my lips.

Alas! I  woke up -
It was only a dream.

If humans had no emotions,

poetry wouldn't have existed.

Once I dreamed of a world
filled with canvas and colours.
A dream to bring to life,
blank canvases with various shades and hues.
To let my paint brush speak for me.
To use up all my time,
to create landscapes, seascapes and portraits.

A distant dream it was, now broken.
My canvas remained blank,
my palette remained empty.

One morning
I woke up to a
strange sound  
outside my door.

I opened the door
with a little caution,
and what did I see?

A cute, green, friendly ET
trying to tell me
he's lost his way
and need a little help
from me.

So tired from his trip
from far beyond the Milky Way
that he fell asleep
right at my door.

What happened next??

              I

         Woke
      
           Up.

Never looked at any other face again,
nor did I travel the road of love again.
Locked up my heart, once and for all,
for you were, are and always will be,
my one true love.
The Sun shone brightly and then,
disappeared behind the horizon.
Stars twinkled all night and then,
they too disappeared.
Storm came and gone,
leaving behind a trail of destruction.
But my love for you stayed like a rock,
never faded nor disappeared.

A man, dejected
with a broken heart,
snapped all the ties
from his world,
roamed about places
one to the next
in search of peace.

One day he found himself
in a distant Fairy Land.
The fairies were surprised
to find him amongst them.
One fairy asked him
what he wanted.
Taken aback by the question
he said ,"A new heart."
The fairy said,"Don't worry, we do have a heart shop."
She took him there.
There he saw all kinds of hearts-
Some made of gold, some of silver,
and some normal too.

In another corner he saw
a collection of broken hearts
beautifully kept.
Out of curiosity he asked the fairy
why they kept those broken hearts.
She smiled and said,
"They are the epic story tellers."
Amazed by her words,
he left with his broken heart
back to his world.

in
love
in
an
instant

  
and


I
am
still
falling.

If you ever fall down,

think of yourself

as a waterfall.

Far far away from you

in some corner of the universe

somewhere in the unknown —

is there any place

I can call home?

A place of peace and quiet,  

where happiness also lives.

Another star wiped out

from the horizon,

leaving behind

a permanent void.

The cruel hands of death

took you away from us

leaving us in shock

and with teary eyes.

You will not sing again,

you will not speak again—

your voice has gone silent now.

But we will keep

singing your songs.

Your heartfelt songs

will now become

melodious memories.

You will live on

through your songs.

In our memories,

you will live on.

Found freedom fighting.

Fly freely now in the free sky.

Forget not the freedom fighters.

If I love you enough ,
my love will find a way
to your heart .

No,I don't believe in miracles -
it is my love
that I trust.

Flowers bloom

only for a while,

teaching us

to value life.

They bloom

to remind us

to smile,

when we forget.

We came to this world

only for a while,

and when we leave,

we leave behind our footprints.

Some remain forever,

worthy to be followed

over and over again.

Others are erased in time,

making way for new footprints,

worthy to be followed.

You said, "It's over"
as if it was dinner .

It is love,
it is forever.

In a faraway land,
there was a place
called Forgetland.
It was a place where
people could have their
memories erased.
Many people,
burdened with sad memories,
went there.
Among them were
two friends.

When they reached there,  
they were called
one by one.
One of the friends
went first, and
returned after a while.
He looked happy.

His friend was happy
to see him happy too,
and went to greet him.
He asked him how he felt.
He replied, "I am feeling very happy,
but who are you?"

Forgive me if you can

or see me die in pain.

If someday you

break a glass

Remember —

        you

once broke a heart

You cannot keep me chained.
You can't clip my wings .
I will not surrender.
I won't accept defeat .
I will break free .
I  will fly away .

I am freedom.

Air we need
It's free for all.

Freedom we want
It comes with a price.

Strong as a rock,
Unbreakable like a promise.
Yes, it is friendship -
A bond built on trust.

Once made, never broken
The older it gets ,
Stronger it becomes .
Far or near, always there .

Seasons come and go,
But friendship remains intact.
Never fades away nor disappears ,
Stays with you like the Sun -

Always shining bright
To brighten up your life
Removing all the dark clouds
Away from your life.

Love disguised as friendship

                         is

neither friendship nor love.

Outside your world

I stay —

not wishing, not waiting,

and no, not stalking,

only gazing from afar

like I gaze at the stars

and the Moon.

Dear Shane, you will get well.
You have a long battle ahead.
Fight it with all your might.
Don't give up.

Look straight into the eye of death.
Tell it to go back.

Ask death to come -

when you are 100 years old,
when all your hair turns silver,
and all your teeth fall off.

That is when you will meet death, smiling.

A girl child
when born
to a family

is

either
seen as

a

burden to be
disposed of

or

too precious a treasure
kept hidden for protection

but

not once considered
as a human being.

Life has turned gloomy now.

Poetry is my only light.

I share it with the world.

Gone too soon,
too far away,
far beyond reach,
without saying goodbye.
Only memories are left now.
