People who have been,
through trauma,
will understand,
the coming down
Feels like a brass band,
that came to town
Not on edge,
feels like,
a deflating wedge
Wait though,
another high,
before the heart,
rests into rhythm,
that is not sky high
What do people do
After years,
of heightened through,
with only certain moments,
then adrenaline again
Adjustment press send
There is a time,
that needs to happen,
to release
No clear plan,
just focus on daily,
action I can
The heart beats,
as certain elements,
are still reaching out to treat
Your hand must,
provide the support
or it is oblique,
at the same time,
focus on the retreat,
so it was like before,
they walked over your street
Going beyond,
what any human would give
Blood is not thicker than peace,
sometimes the journey ties you in
before release,
ready for you to begin,
the adjustment from within

Trauma
I wanted to tackle this subject as a professional.
So often it can be seen as a very difficult subject in reality and in communities.
Healing being the survivor not the victim,
people can recover following trauma…..
That is all very good.
However, what happens at the adjustment time? The time when people may just be coming out of trauma, or even still having to provide support after years of trauma then through the adjustment period also.
Examples:
Having to go out late at night to get certain foods if someone has Autism, ADHD or Anxiety that affects them in this way.
Being shouted at quite a lot of the time in life.
Not being able to sit and eat without interruptions most of the time.
Ongoing, relentless stress bullying, domestic violence….
Having your feelings hurt over and over again….
Living daily life not knowing what is coming next e.g. living life on edge……
Above is not an exhaustive list…...some examples.
In Between healing, prior to this also
and, as well as knowing people will recover, there is adjustment from, or during the situation or circumstances.
In Summary
Adjustment takes place primarily and these individuals go through trauma adjustment, before the mind, body. and, the soul can begin to heal or recover.
