Temporary escape
Inevitable outcome

For an instant
The dust tastes safe
Broken bones heal

Friday evening sails into view
Sky turns a rosy shade of blue

Rise to my feet
Stroll across the sand

Listen to the surf
Riding the land

I drunk some wine
Just to clear my mind

But
I can't stop

Thinking about you

life is poetry
dreams
challenges
unknown futures ( and presents)
all await the discovery of the creative mind

Open your future to the mistakes of the past
Accept the fragility of dreams that don't last

Do not identify as slaves
But know as those
Who took their place

escaping darkness
enveloped in dreams
glimmering
watching
alive in shadow
