If the trees kept growing up to the stars
Would we climb as high as we do today

If the road kept going without any cars
Would we reach a place where we could stay

If the earth turned it's back for the sun to burn
Would the moon wave goodbye and just fly away

These questions and others we have learned
The answers as always we cannot say

Visiting the beach on a school day in spring
Watching the waves and the birds on the wing
It's just me all alone no one around
This particular place can be described in a sound

Awe................... haw.................hmmm

And they all lived happily ever after (or did they)
If they ever were
If it ever was
Does sanity exist

The choices of the past
Have led to strange futures
Not all has been as foretold
Even fixing things can have consequences
Be careful what you wish for
Albeit in another life time
Predictions are unclear when fear is the catalyst

I must continue
I need to reason with this reality
Instructions and rules seem all that is left
Freedom can only be found in dreams
People no longer experience their existence
