Since ancient time scholars have been prodding their brains with the following question;

If a tree falls in the forest, and there’s nobody around to hear, does it make a sound?

After much exasperation, they concluded;

Who cares, if a  tree falls  in the forest or not,  or does it make sound or not.

Alas! much to their chagarin, they are confronted with a new question;

Are there any forest left now?
So, did the original question hold any relevance now?

Could you guess the final outcome of the debate that may rage on the new teaser, for decades?

He is a paradox.

Don't treat my poems

At times, even passing

Past is a lost country where my dreams are permanently buried.

I unexpectedly bump into an old friend.
He feigns he doesn't know me.
To stir up memories of the past in us, I whip up curds of nostalgia.
But he won't swallow it.
Feeling let down, I walk away, realising that memories cannot unite disparate lives that have crossed paths by chance.

The past is murky

The present is overcast

What's to come is tense

Waited for a good day,
endlessly, and I became ripe
and sweet like a fruit.

Now, the ants are biting me
for dessert, a stinging end
to my patient wait.

Life is a pause

I wish you, O troubled soul, peace.

Let peace be the new language our hearts shall speak.

Let it mend the wounds that hatred has wrought.

Peace is the only subject that should be taught to humans.

Want to live in peace?

Either surrender to
your ego

Or

to the ego of
others,

Completely.

I am not an advocate of peace.
But I want to understand
why there was a disagreement
in the first place.

Now, only in art peace resides.
Eshwara Prasad Jul 2023
When humans conspire with death out of disgust for coexisting, peace becomes a trash in society's back yard.

Weapons create war.
War brings destruction.
Peace is born from understanding and love.

An iota of peace is more sacred than a sea of strife.

It lies within your heart; do not look for the treasure of peace elsewhere. You'll discover it if you seek.

When will my warring

to sign a peace treaty with it.

I am waiting in the

My mind is perplexed  whether it creates the thoughts or the thoughts it creates create it.

What use is, if my poems
get your appreciation posthumously.
Show your appreciation now
When I am alive.

What use is, if you hold seminars on my work posthumously.
Hold them now, when I am alive.

What use is, if you bestow titles & awards to me posthumously.
Give them now when I am alive.

I am making this plea now, when I am alive, because I cannot make it posthumously.

I don't use sugar coated words in my sonnets since a considerable lot of you have diabetes.

I don't use salt loaded words in my sonnets since a considerable lot of you have hypertension.

I don't use acidic words in my sonnets since a considerable lot of you have gastric issues.

I will not use any words in my future sonnets since none of you are going to read them any way!
