I Stood There Looking
Sixteen I was,
My breast pointed and soft,
How round my ***** was,
Dark not light my skin tone,
Beautiful....,
Very beautiful my father cried,
But still I stood there,
I stood there looking.
Winter was here,
I knew he will be there,
No minute was there to spare,
My obsession I had to dare,
I wondered, Will he take me care,
With him I needed to share,
Alone this feeling hard to bare,
Still looking I stood there,
The room full of light,
I remember that night,
Present were people of might,
I took him not off my sight,
Around him ...those girls with dress bright,
I thought of putting a fight,
I stood there looking.
He came and gave me a kiss,
How long was this my wish?
The whole place covered in mist,
Soon we saw the priest,
Before the village I was his Mrs.,
So gentle he never insist,
Our life full of feast,
Still I stood there looking.
Here was summer,
The mood somber,
That day I remember,
He was an army member,
His duty took him to lands yonder,
A cross the world my mind wonder,
His body back on September,
On my window I stood there looking,
His grave lies there,
.......still,
...........there I stood looking.
