That time way back in the photo booth
when you kissed my cheek in love and
I was grinning like a man in love and
I keep it near and that's who we are.
We fall apart and fall in love over again.
We are different. We are the same.
I'll die with you in that photo booth
kissing me as my only lover ever.

Oh what a time we had. Bohemians.
We drank too much and laughed too
loud and danced wild into the night.
We shocked the frozen faced prudes.
We pulled the sun up, ate croissants
and slept naked and in love 'til dusk.

You hid your ****** away. I forgot its utility.
You are still beautiful in certain light.
**** you for hiding behind matronly flannel
while I gave up on ******* and beat me to death.

*** is the most beautiful and natural
and necessary thing we do but treat
  it like a ***** film at a kid's party.
Sister take your habit off and dance.
Bishop drop your drape and shimmy.
Naked we come and naked we leave.

Gather types of people together
and tell them group B hates them.
Trot to group B and say A hates you.
Tell group C they all hate you and
tell all the groups the same thing
until the rainbow catches fire.

They fussed over my birth like a Christ
child born in a manger. A toast to our new
boy with special in his bones and heart.
He'll suffer all our pain silent and with
laughter. He'll climb into many wombs to
find comfort but always birth himself to
slain what he needs to for his old dames.
I love them and raise a glass to toast them.

Love is not forever. It comes and go's.
It's not a North Star to guide your heart
in shifting waters. It makes babies and
breaks hearts and tears families apart.
It makes impossible promises with an
earnest whisper we all must believe.
We drag broke hearts to bars looking
for real Love this time. Will we find it?
Never
