Flying high the sky
Winged creatures soar
Twisting and turning
Freedom all about
Over roof tipped houses
Cluttered streets
Littered with garbage
And debris
Circling over rivers
And streams
Blanketed mountain tops
Welcoming trees
Oh to fly
High above and over
The majestic sights
All around

Waiting for a sign
Knowing it really won't come
Just around the bend

Sprinkling upon me
Leaving Droplets on my
Nose
Time to dry off

A boom fills the air
The dog runs under the bed
Hoping for coverage

Soaked in beauty
All around
Reddest of reds
Peeping out among
Velvet green
Of trees
Shades of brown
Happily hopping about
Vibrant oranges and yellows
Dancing on slender
Stems
