perspective is the taste and smell and feelings of current events seasoned with memories

in old glory's stripes today
does it fly a bit higher in some way
is the white more and more pure
to strengthen us to endure
can you feel the Holy Spirit
in the breeze which makes it wave
and pray for the warriors
and leaders, all proven brave
