The alarm clock and the wall clock and the watch all attempt to tell me what time it is...but it is always NOW

a new approach
for the thousandth time
no more mister nice guy
i tell myself with confidence
and then my love of people
washes over the emotions
and my goofy self returns
like an old familiar friend

I will have
  no worries
    no pains
      no mistrusts
        no anxieties
          no problems
        the day after
      I die

God is the world's radio station, Jesus is the deejay, and the Holy Spirit is the frequency, tune in and be blessed

you never see it coming when those feelings lock on and hit your heart like a love missile and blast the pain away, at least for a little while

the future is the fog of chaos crashing into us at the speed of life and fading into the blurry past
